These extra numbers are not real seeds. There appears to be a known issue with some clients incorrectly registering as a seed with the tracker we’re using now. It looks like someone may be doing this intentionally, but we’re not sure. We’re investigating solutions with new tracker software to correct the incorrect numbers. More soon.

Most illegal uses of BitTorrent are from sharing of content that is not licensed to be shared, resulting in illegal redistribution. These uses are copyright infringement.

All the content hosted and distributed by ClearBits is licensed for sharing.

We provide an option to hide your name if you want. On your profile, you can specify and alias, which will be used instead of your name.

We ask people for their name to encourage people to be open and honest about who they are.

Membership on the site is voluntary – and one of the only sources of funds to keep the community running.

Currently there is no Japanese anime on LegalTorrents. If you find any high quality content available under an open license, please post a request for us to host it.

Topic: Torrent: OLPC Photo DVD / playing the DVD...

I mounted the image on a Linux machine, and could read the images and the source fine. I have not burned it to physcial DVD.

I used:
>mkdir mountpoint
>sudo mount -o loop olpc-dvd-project.iso mountpoint
>cd mountpoint/

I’ve never been a hip hop fan before, but I like this album… had it going for the last few days while I write. Tracks are all consistently professional quality. Lyrics are powerful.

The Content Creator, once approved to post content can choose if they want to collect sponsorship, and LegalTorrents does not restrict who can ask for sponsorship.

Remember that sponsorship is voluntary – and exists for the purpose of giving a method for people who want to sponsor a way to do so.

Content Creators can now select different options for how to ask for voluntary sponsorship on the site.

Two new option have been added, which will bring up a modal window asking the person to sponsor when they download the torrent.
