Another full-length LP released by Mixgalaxy Records acquaints the listeners with one very interesting author, who works both with music and graphical art. Kirill Kara-Banchuk belongs to Russian idm flow. Being an expert in sound abstractions and experiments, as well as a talented minimalist artist he makes some kind of synthesis of inner images difficult for perception and interpretation, transferring them into sounds and sharing a part of his rich and individual inward with listeners. Moods, atmosphere, tracks order and the album design are one big picture, resembling a road or ascend from darker deeps into the light, what was represented in the booklet.Music is accompanied by one video clip, visually demonstrating ideas giving start to the entire album. Dismal, black and white pictures, lonesome figures, pressing walls and overall estrangement perfectly illustrate the first track and prepare the listener for sinking into this very powerful and oppressive atmosphere, which weighs upon him in the first half of an album and changes into more comfortable and warmer sound environment as the release moves towards the end. With their EP "Endzeit" a few rebellious young musicians, calling themselves 'mundtot' - present a debut that really shows some of the old hands in the gothic scene what's what. That the roots of the Munich-based trio comes from post-punk and new wave is really unmistakable. Likewise, they mix elegiac wavy guitars with synthpop-hooks and aggressive punk-rhythms with pounding industrial elements. In which they are indifferent building on the roots of a music - that hardly anyone knows today - expanding this with modern Industrial-Gothrock, they create an exciting, raw, uncut and rebellious music. The vocals move smart on the line between accusatory sadness and aggressive rebellion. For 'mundtot' are mainly corporate and time-critical. They have something to say. Their anger means power, energy and creativity. In a time where some people have long since resigned or just use their aggression to scare little girls, 'mundtot' brings back some rebellious fresh air into the scene. Perhaps a privilege of youth? In any case, damn catchy and awesome.

This album was one of the first we listened to and imediatly adored, both for it's concept and the sounds derived from it, it's a love tribute to the great Yukio Mishima, even if the title it's kind of... satyrical (the translation could be "Mishima's first rat's fuck", based on the book "Confession of a mask", where he describes his first masturbation on the image of Saint Sebastian).

The good stuff isn't always easiest to find, and most users don't have time to browse through every artist's discography in order to discover the gems among their droppings. Netlabels experience some kind of Indian summer, receiving a lot of attention as if they were all new. They retrieve relevance as a source for presenting the hot. Berlin held a Netaudio Festival last year. New York's WFMU has created the Free Music Archive, "a social music website built around a curated library of free, legal audio." Fuck me sideways, the scene is a scene again! "Greatest It" features tracks from Up it up, Ego Twister, Peppermill, Proot, Cock Rock Disco, and WM Recordings.

Netlabel Synthematik is proud to present the result of a unique and brave experiment under the code name "PROJECT:RENTGEN" conducted by one of Russia's oldest and renowned gothic electro/darkwave bands PURPLE FOG SIDE (PFS).The idea of the experiment is quite simple: to produce an album in a real-time mode with each song created and recorded from scratch within as short as two days. The countdown started on September 21, 2009 and lasted till October 15, 2009. During the time of the experiment, the band kept on uploading a brand new track every two days for everyone to listen to. A run into europeans winter's breeze let's us try to bring the december mood to a spring-like reunion full of kisses. Still hidden we are happy about an upcoming phonocake release by Modul, while we can already listen one of the tracks here. As a debut we can find tracks by diverse local heroes, e.g. Hofuku Sochi, who could be known from his netrelease at Camomille, called the lost tapes. Or welcome revived Sandrow Mitzschke, who could be better known in Dresden as Soren Matschiste. And besides this a smooth nice track by Insect O., which opens the hope for a nice upcoming spring time. Soren and Insect O. live the Dresden based record label ETUI, which is successfull especially in the field of Deep Techno House. Also with us are friends from Tallinn, Barcelona, Krasnodar, Montevideo und Florence again. And there are two new projekt names to be found: Captain Snorehead and One Day In Metropia, while the last one could also be known from live sets in the Altes Wettburo or Schleife 9, one location, which was voted in local electronic life event magazine (www.banq.de) on position one of the best locations in 2009, but sadly is no more active in 2010.

This album is a modest try of returning the spirit of Renaissance into the present age. 'The Eclipse of Planet's Beauty' is about all of us - about extinction of nature and going deeper and deeper into the virtual world, about cruel wars and modern philosophy, humanism in nowadays perception and nuclear sunsets, ancient mythologies and cities of the future - the things we are facing often feeling strange or unanswered, but the things we are rushing toward like into the first summer rain. This artwork is some kind of reply to this so fast changing world, or maybe to our so morphing way of life. Sometimes the ages of past are much more closer than they appear and the delicate sculptures are much more alive than it may seem. The same as heavenly bodies change their orbits, slowly but insuperable, civilizations are moving round, some of them still afraid of themselves. It's like seeing the moon in the sky by day through the gentle resistance of crystal ice, like watching the stars in the antique observatory lying in deep grass. It's like a glass sphere in the storm, like an organ prelude passing through the waves of biosphere. Let the music describe all this feelings the best.

Double album, 24 tracks in total:Part 1 - Survival Strategies For The Age Of Discontinuity (Tracks 1-11) Part 2 - We Are The Market Makers. (Tracks 12-24). Not one of the tracks goes beyond two minutes, yet each is rammed full of so many sharp ideas that it shames much longer tracks into whimpering submission. A melancholic exploration of a long, dark cold winter spent in the isolated countryside - a countryside which takes on something of a malignant presence following its more positive influence on previous Heath releases. These tunes are recognisably the work of EL Heath, but are sparser than his previous releases - at times approaching an almost unbearable melancholy.The sounds are often onomatopoeic: a martenot sweep like a cutting wind, pianos like a crisp frost. But as anyone reading the above would realise, it's as much a psychological as it is seasonal (though the two are clearly inextricably linked). Concerto yearns, Arvo Part's "light passing through glass" distilled. Electric Storm creeps with brooding darkness. Chords is a gorgeous sigh. Inertia's unsettling absences are the perfect soundtrack to dark times.It could be viewed, perhaps, as a wintry response to Virginia Astley's 'From Gardens Where We Feel Secure' (an album Heath adores) and the original intention was for the album to be released in the middle of this winter. And though late, the very fact we're able to release this album is something of a personal triumph for Heath: a perilous hard drive, lack of desire and feelings of wintry discontent at times conspiring to halt progress.
