The Chaos E.P

The 'Chaos E.P.' recordings started off in a bedroom studio late 2004, with all instruments, programming and vocals by Nick Hopkin. The songs soon grew from broken beats and odd noises into something much more accessible so Nick enlisted the help of producer Steve Lovell (Blur, Julian Cope, Longpigs). By the summer of 2005, they’d outgrown the bedroom set-up, so built a small project studio on a farm in West Sussex. After much non-musical hard graft, the studio was complete, but it was Autumn... So much for the summer release!!! The 7 songs showcase the diversity of Nick's songwriting, from the autobiographical 'Pushing Further', through the claustrophobic confines of 'Seperation', to the uplifting positivity of 'Open'. Released online in 2006 to good reviews.
